Ingrid van Veen
Ingrid van Veen is Vice President of Operations for Cycas Hospitality, having joined in September 2015. Like so many members of the team she boasts a cosmopolitan background; she is a native of Holland and previously put her degree in hotel management to good use working for Golden Tulip, NH Hotels and IHG. In the last of these posts she was responsible for the pre-opening and opening of the Crowne Plaza Amsterdam South.
Prior to joining Cycas, Ingrid was the general manager of the Crowne Plaza St. Petersburg Airport, Russia. During this time she was nominated as GM of the Year and was awarded a Quality Excellence Award.
That’s the calibre of person we want here at Cycas. Since joining us she’s been responsible for the refurbishment and rebranding of Heathrow Hotel Bath Road, now Hyatt Place London Heathrow Airport, and was extensively involved in the successful opening of the first double-decker hotel in the north of England: the Crowne Plaza Manchester – Oxford Road and Staybridge Suites Manchester – Oxford Road. Ingrid van Veen is currently responsible for all of Cycas’s hotels in the London area.
Just in case you were thinking Ingrid looked familiar, she and her team were filmed for the Dutch TV series ‘Hotel’, having been chosen to give an insight into the life of hotels.
