As one of 10 Sustainable Destination Partners, greet Darmstadt is committed to responsible hospitality and driving positive change in tourism. The certification follows a multi-stage process, assessing key factors such as quality, innovation, economic stability, and resource management to create a clear roadmap for a more sustainable future.

The official certificate presentation was a key moment in this journey, and our Cycadette Cheila was honoured to receive it on behalf of the hotel team. greet Darmstadt is excited to continue working alongside their fellow partners, making sustainability a core part of the visitor experience in Darmstadt.

Last week, our Cycas Hospitality sales team came together in Paris for an inspiring two-day session focused on harnessing data-driven decision-making to enhance performance.

Alongside our Directors of Revenue and Marketing, Rogier Ensel and Yvonne Brennan, and our Chief Commercial Officer, Neetu Mistry, the session covered key commercial fundamentals. The team were also joined by Amadeus, Ed Lines, and Benoit Jeannot, who shared valuable insights on how data shapes strategic revenue decisions.

Cycas Hospitality expands to Portugal! This week, we’re excited to announce that Cycas is making its debut in Portugal, bringing Marriott International’s Autograph Collection to the UNESCO-listed region of Sintra. This landmark project marks our first venture into the Iberian Peninsula and strengthens our presence in Southern Europe, as we continue to grow with over 55 hotels across 13 European countries.

Set to open in summer 2026, the unique resort-style hotel will comprise 15 distinct buildings, featuring rooms, suites, and villas, along with a signature sea-view wedding suite. Guests can enjoy multiple dining experiences and wellness facilities, offering a connection to the site’s restorative properties.

This week, Cycas Hospitality celebrated the graduation of seven aspiring leaders from our annual leadership development programme, Cyfari.

Throughout the 8-month programme of immersive learning, our Cycadettes participated in key industry masterclasses on commercial strategy, finance, IT, and people & culture - gaining invaluable skills to excel in the ever-evolving world of hospitality.

With graduates from London, Amsterdam, Paris, representing both on and off property teams, we’re excited to see the impact this talented group will undoubtedly make in the hospitality industry.
