• Cycas Hospitality has been appointed to manage two, new branded properties in Scotland, consolidating the Group’s presence with new hotels in Glasgow and Edinburgh, alongside the existing Hotel Indigo and Staybridge Suites hotels in Dundee
  • The Motto by Hilton Glasgow - Hilton’s first Motto hotel in the UK - in partnership with the Silk Group, will open in autumn 2024

Located in a prime riverside location, Cycas will operate Motto by Hilton Glasgow, bringing Hilton’s newest urban lifestyle brand to the UK. Set to open in autumn 2024, the hotel follows Cycas’ debut of the Motto by Hilton brand in Rotterdam in late 2022, consolidating the company’s position as the leading operator of the locally inspired brand in Europe.

The Motto brand prides itself on offering guests a launch pad to the most desirable urban locations, helping visitors connect to the neighbourhood culture and enjoy the brand’s flexible, interconnecting rooms. The 19-storey, new-build hotel’s location at the heart of Glasgow’s city centre river-front positions the hotel to capture both leisure and corporate visitors to the city and capitalise upon the city’s growing conference and event sector.

Rishi Singh, at Silk Property Group, owners of the Motto by Hilton Glasgow hotel, noted: “The forthcoming 186-bedroom Motto by Hilton Glasgow is an incredibly exciting addition to the city, with an outstanding city-centre location perched on the river Clyde. We’re delighted to be working on this project with the team at Cycas Hospitality, using their impressive experience as pan-European hotel company to launch this new concept on the Scottish market.”

2023 will also see the hospitality operator open Scotland’s first Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Edinburgh city centre. The hotel, situated in the Haymarket area of the city, will comprise 69 bedrooms across 4 floors, alongside a mix of restaurant, bar serving locally crafted beers, fitness and meeting space facilities.

Park Hotels Holding UK, led by Morris Katri, commented: “The forthcoming Four Points by Sheraton Edinburgh represents an outstanding hotel development in the heart of the city’s commercial district and transport intersection, not to mention proximity to nearby Murrayfield stadium, the home of Scottish Rugby.”

Asli Kutlucan, Chief Development Officer at Cycas Hospitality, said: “We are delighted to be expanding within the buoyant Scottish market and to further our relationships with Hilton and Marriott to establish these modern, vibrant brands in these key cities. This expansion follows the appointment of some outstanding key Scottish-based team members across our operational and commercial departments, cementing our commitment to growth within this market.”
